The Nürnberg Laws were two race-based anti-Semitic laws developed by Adolf Hitler and ratified by the Nazi Party at a Nürnberg assembly in 1935. The "Law of the Reich Citizen," for example, stripped Jews of their German citizenship and declared them "state subjects." The "Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honour," also known as the "Blood Protection Law," prohibited Jews from marrying or having sexual relations with "citizens of German or kindred blood."
